In an area of spectacular natural beauty, Ruka is one of Finland's best known ski resorts and winter holidaymakers will be spoilt for choice both on and off the uncrowded pistes thanks to the impressive snow record and wide range of activities. Salla is close to the Russian border and is a beautiful wilderness of frozen rivers, lakes and waterfalls amongst snowy fells and home to one of the largest reindeer herds in Europe. The ski village of Salla ia quiet and unassuming and a great place to experience a the beautiful nature of Finnish Lapland.

The skiing is largely suited to beginners and intermediates and pistes are floodlit to allow skiing in to the evening. There is an enormous selection of cross-country trails and 35 trails are illuminated so you can continue when it gets dark.
