Holidays in Tossa de Mar, Costa Brava
Located on the coast of Girona, halfway between Barcelona and the French border, Tossa de Mar is an old fishing town with a great historical background, that has become a major tourist destination of the Costa Brava.
Tossa de Mar is a small town with cobbled streets, a magnificent ancient castle and is in a mountainous region with green valleys, gorges and natural springs. Tossa de Mar appeals to couples and families rather than all night party goers. If you are looking for an 18-30s holiday, then Lloret de Mar would be more suitable.
Tossa de Mar has three main beaches: The Tossa Beach (Platja Gran), in front of downtown: This beach is closed off on the west by the medieval castle. La Mar Menuda, on the other side of the bay. this beach has all services and facilities, such a sport equipment. Local police patrol the area on bicycles. And El Codolar, behind the walls.
